| Representing 30 civic groups including KFTA, the Preparatory Commission for Green Eco-sharing Campaign announced the launch of Green Eco-sharing Campaign at Seoul Press Center on Feb 11. A three-point joint declaration and seven action plans were presented to promote "sharing" in culture and eco-friendly environment for future generations.
In the declaration, the commission stated its commitment to "green eco campaign to hand over beautiful green environment for future generations," "donation campaign to help disadvantaged people and improve the quality of life together with neighbors," and therefore "joint cooperation for education & campaign and improvement of laws and institutions."
The seven action plans include KRW 1000 donation per year; donation of various card mileage points; donation of school uniforms and textbooks; one donation account per person; bicycle commuting to work and school; reduction of food waste and recycling of used food oil; and support for multicultural families and North Korean defectors.
The commission also pledged to maintain consistent mutual cooperation for effective implementation of the Joint Declaration and to expand the agreement and campaign throughout the society.
